FORCE SOCCER ACADEMY
Training sessions are open to ALL OSU players ( U7 & U8 ) and players involved with other soccer club programs.

The FORCE Soccer Academy is dedicated to developing young (Ages 7 & 8 players born in 2001 -2000)  soccer players’ talents and skills, and preparing them for the level of competition found in competitive U9 – U18 teams.

Our goal is to create a fun, safe, and positive environment where all selected players with an interest in improving their game.

Our curriculum includes the following components:

Ball Mastery: the foundation of a great soccer player. Players will develop a soft first touch,
quick and accurate foot work and the skills necessary to create time and space.

Confidence with the ball in pressure situations is essential to the mastery of the game of soccer.

Proficient ball skills: drills will prepare players to work with a partner to develop combination play.
Wall passes, take-overs and overlaps are some of the combinations each player will master.

Creativity makes the game of soccer exciting. We encourage players to experiment both at
training sessions and during scrimages. We believe in a fluid game where players are encouraged to
use their technical and problems solving skills to find new ways to be successful.

Finishing: game play and drills that teach techniques for finishing as well as nurturing instinctive play.

Q. HOW DOES MY CHILD JOIN THE ACADEMY?

A. The FORCE SOCCER ACADEMY is through evaluation.

Q. How do players join the Academy?

A. Player can join any of the following 3 ways:

1. OSU Players Registered with OSU for the summer season will be identified by Academy Technical staff at the players regular game night

2. OSU Players Registered with OSU will be invited to a 1/2 day festival in early June and players will be identified by Academy Technical staff

3. OSU and NON OSU parents may register their children to be evaluated .

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

  • Program is designed to enhance your child’s regular soccer activities and prepares him/her for a higher level of play”.
  • Program is a training program ONLY, available to enthusiastic players that want to improve their skills and knowledge of soccer.

  • DOES NOT include formal games. Small sided games will be played as part of the training.

  • The Academy Curriculum is designed by OSU's Technical Advisor Hassan Nazari ( Dallas Texans) and run by OSU’s Technical staff and coaches that coach OSU’s Elite Force teams.

ACADEMY PROGRAM FEE

2008 Summer Season = $90 per player - due upon acceptance to the Academy

2008 Winter Season = TBD
