OSU AFFILIATES WITH #1 RANKED YOUTH CLUB IN THE US
The Ottawa South United Soccer Club ( OSU ) is proud to be affiliated with the top US youth club,
the Dallas Texans Soccer Club. Through this affiliation with the Dallas Texans, OSU will become a member of the Nike Premier Club family, the only club in Canada to have such an affiliation.

Through the affiliation with the Texans and Nike, OSU will have exclusive opportunities to be
invited to participate in prestigious Nike sponsored events such as the Manchester United
Premier Cup and the Nike friendlies. They will also be part of special future Nike opportunities
such as product testing and training sessions with world club coaches from Nike sponsored
clubs such as: Manchester United, Barcelona, Arsenal, Juventus and Celtic to name a few.

This affiliation will provide both clubs with the opportunity to exchange players and coaches to promote soccer between our countries on a larger scale.  The Dallas Texans and OSU will support each other's tournaments and camps and will develop a program of reciprocal team visits.     
This partnership will prove to be a positive asset to our club, players and coaches by providing the
opportunity to share ideas and experiences between the two clubs.

OSU PARTNERS WITH EVERTON FC TO LAUNCH SOCCER ACADEMY

Ottawa, Ontario – September 2, 2008 – Ottawa South United Soccer club ( OSU ) announced a unique partnership agreement today with English Premier League Club, Everton Football Club.
The partnership launches - for the first time ever - a Soccer Academy for Eastern Ontario players based on the highly successful Everton Football Club training program.

OSU President Bill Michalopulos said: “This is a historic day for soccer players and coaches throughout the Ottawa – Carleton Region. They will have exclusive training that utilizes the program and methods, of one of the world’s leading organizations for player development.”
Everton Football Club will be associated with OSU and the OSU FORCE SOCCER ACADEMY where Everton will assist OSU in the development of an Academy curriculum, as well as provide their expertise and technical advice.

The Everton Academy has been enormously successful in producing top talent to go on and star in the English Premier League. OSU expects to use these same methods to help develop soccer players in the Ottawa area and improve the quality of the game.

The most famous graduate of the Everton Academy is current Manchester United and England star forward, Wayne Rooney.

OSU and Everton Football Club believe this partnership is a unique opportunity and one of very few in the Canada. They hope to add to this partnership an exchange program for OSU players and coaches to travel to Everton and visit the Everton Academy to gain exposure to the English Premier League youth soccer environment.
