Bill has participated in the game of soccer, as a player, coach and club official for over 35 years. He was a provincial (six years), university, top amateur and semi-professional player (Switzerland), in his youth and into his 30's. A holder of the Provincial B coaching license, he has successfully coached girls and boys competitive youth teams in Ottawa (ERSL/OCSL), as well as at the provincial level (OYSL), for a total of 13 years. During this period, his teams achieved a combination of 8 league championships and/or league cup titles. Bill is one of the prime architects in the conception and genesis of the Ottawa South United (OSU) soccer club, as well as being the "founding" President of OSU. He holds Commerce (Honours) and Arts Degrees, and is originally from Western Canada. With a professional business background in private and public corporations, in both domestic and international settings, Bill currently works as a senior executive at a major crown corporation. Upon his return to Canada from Switzerland in 1990, he and his spouse Greta settled in Manotick. Bill and both of his children play for OSU soccer teams and also enjoy downhill skiing and volleyball.
