IMPORTANT: Now that our season has begun, for anyone who has registered as of May 25th or later: please allow up to 72 hours to hear back from the coordinator regarding team assignment.


Program Description:     

FUNdamentals is a follow-up to the First Kicks Active Start program.  Players will continue their soccer experience through physical literacy & technical development in structured practices and organized games with an optional ‘Skills Night’ available.


Program Details:             

Program Start: Wednesday, May 30th (Girls) & Thursday May 31st (Boys)

Photo Day:

West: Sat/Sun - June 16/17 @ Nepean Sportsplex - Hall F

East: Sat/Sun - June 23/24 @ Manotick Curling Rink

Year-End Festival:

  • Date: Sunday, August 12th

  • Location: George Nelms Park

Day: Wednesday (Girls) & Thursday (Boys)

Time: 6:30-8:00 pm

Locations: Barrhaven, Manotick & Riverside South

Team Size: 12 players

Players on Field: 6

Format: Boys & girls separate


Cost:                     

Early Bird Regular Fee

Fee Includes:                

  • Uniform (jersey, shorts, socks)
  • Soccer ball

Skills Night:    

This is an optional once-a-week training session focusing on technical development and run by OSU staff coaches.  Players must be registered in FUNdamentals to participate.

Program Curriculum:             

Sessions are divided into a 30 min practice and 60 min game.

Practices will include components of physical literacy and technical development.  Games will consist of 2-25 minute halves with a 5 min halftime break.  Games will be played in a 6v6 format.
