Introduction
OSU’s U16 Force Program is a 12 month program starting in the Fall (September/October)
following the completion of the U15 season.
The program is developed and led by OSU’s highly qualified coaches.
The focus of the U16 Program is to:
- develop the players technical abilities
- develop the players tactical awareness and team play
- introduce those players for whom playing at the University/College level either in Canada
or the U.S. is an objective to opportunities and requirements
- assist players in national and provincial team programs to keep up with the
standards demanded by these programs; and, most importantly
- provide the players and team with an enjoyable soccer experience
The Program includes:
1. Team Showcase Tournaments
2. Placing qualified OSU players on an individual basis into Exclusive Showcase events with the #1 Ranked soccer Club in the U.S.
3. League Play and League Cup
4. Ontario Cup Competitions
5. Seminars on Scholarship opportunities
6. Training sessions that cover technical and tactical development

8. Personal and Team Development sessions
Selection to the Program
In September/October a Fall Assessment will take place. At the Fall Assessment a pool of players will be selected to participate in the indoor program.
Final U16 team selection will take place in February/March.It should be noted that players can be moved into or out of the program at any time during the programs duration.
Special Program Note
Educational development is the most important aspect for our players. With that in mind, the OSU program will take into account that players face important exams during certain periods in December, January and June. As a result, during the exam periods, any soccer travel under the control of OSU will be avoided and training will be adjusted accordingly.
In the November/December/January and March Break period, complete breaks from soccer activities will be worked into the schedule in order to allow players to have an appropriate rest period
