OSU U10 G Force Golden in ARS National Tournament

The OSU 2000 Girls Force team travelled to Laval to participate in the ARS National tournament.

What an exciting and intense weekend of games in the team’s first ever out-of-town tournament!

The girls had a busy tournament schedule with three games on Saturday and one game on Sunday. With convincing shut-out wins against Brossard, Delta Tornadoes, Etoiles de l’EST and Aylmer, the team headed, undefeated, to the semi-finals.

The girls brought great energy and excitement to the semi-final match against A.S. Mascouche and claimed an impressive 6-0 win.

The final put the girls up against a very talented CSRDP Pumas team. This proved to be the best game of the tournament, with up and down exciting attacking / defending play and great goalkeeping from both teams. The game was tied at the end and had to be decided by shootout with the OSU Force winning in the shootout.

Well done to all! The soccer was outstanding, but equally impressive was the sportsmanship displayed by the players and parents of both teams. What a fitting finale!!

Finally, congratulations to all the players for their hard work and excellent display of soccer at the Laval tournament this past weekend. Way to go Marita, Kory, Emily, Mikyla, Mollie, Zoe, Nina, Mia, Becky and Elodie.
